Everything we get asked
Where are you located?
We are at 223 Plaza Drive NW in Arab, Alabama 35016. Everything is cleaned, pressed and altered at that address.
I am in Guntersville. Where do I bring things?
Bring them to the store at 223 Plaza Drive NW in Arab, and call 256-586-1104 with any questions. Plenty of our Guntersville customers make the trip, and they are looked after by the same people who have handled their clothes for years.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We are closed on Sunday.
Do you offer same day service?
Same day service is available for laundry when your order is in early enough in the day. The cutoff is posted at the store and can move depending on how busy we are, so please call ahead if you are counting on getting it back the same day.
Do you do alterations in house?
Yes. Our seamstress works in the Arab store, so your garment does not get sent anywhere else. Hemming, waist adjustments, tapering, patching, and zipper repair or replacement are all done on site.
What should I bring for a trouser hem?
Bring the shoes you plan to wear with them. Heel height changes where a hem should sit, and pinning without the right shoes is guesswork.
Can you clean comforters and drapes?
Yes. Comforters, bedspreads, duvet covers, quilts, blankets, pillows, curtains, and drapery panels are all regular work for us. They are the pieces most likely to be damaged in a home machine.
What is DF-2000 and why do you use it?
DF-2000 is a hydrocarbon dry cleaning fluid made by ExxonMobil, used as an alternative to perchloroethylene. It is a petroleum derivative rather than a chlorinated solvent. We use it because it cleans well and finishes garments nicely. If you have specific health or environmental questions about the solvent, ask us and we will point you to the manufacturer's published information rather than guess.
How is wash and fold priced?
Flat fold wash and fold is priced by the pound rather than per garment, which is why it suits towels, t-shirts, and everyday clothing. Call us for current pricing.
How far in advance should I bring a wedding gown?
As early as you reasonably can. Gowns are inspected before anything is done to them, and if alterations are needed as well, that takes time you do not want to be short of in the last week.
What if a stain will not come out?
We will tell you. Some stains are set, and some fabrics will be damaged by what it would take to remove them. We would rather say so at the counter than hand you back a garment in worse shape than it arrived.
How long do you hold finished orders?
Please pick your order up promptly. Items left over 30 days are not our responsibility, which is posted at the counter. If something is going to be a while, let us know.
Do you serve towns outside Arab?
Yes. Customers come to the Arab store from across Marshall County and the surrounding area, including Guntersville, Albertville, Boaz, Douglas, Grant, Union Grove, Joppa and Brindlee Mountain.
How do I get a price?
Call 256-586-1104 or bring the item in. Pricing depends on the garment and what it needs, so a look at the piece is more useful than a guess over a website.

Not sure about a garment?
Call the store and ask, or bring it in. We would rather look at it first than guess over the phone.
